Kristen Anne Bell is an American singer and actress born in 1980. She was born in Huntington Woods and raised there. Bell is the daughter of Lorelei Frygier and Tom Bell. Her family ancestry includes Polish (mother) and German, English, Irish, and Scottish (father). Kristen was able to show a flair to perform on a young stage. She was able to land her first role at an audition for Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell, who was 13 when her mom signed up for an agent, was also auditioned for ads on newspapers and TV. In addition, Bell started taking private acting classes. Bell was a character who did not have a credit in Polish Wedding (1998), a film released in 1998. Bell was part of the drama and musical club at Shrine Catholic High School. She won the starring role of Dorothy in the school's performance of The Wizard of Oz. Bell went to New York City for the Tisch School of the Arts to study musical theatre following her graduation. Bell dropped out of school in 2001, and began taking on the role of Becky of Tom Sawyer. It was also in 2001 that Bell's first appearance in a movie that had been credited, Pootie Tang (2002). Unfortunately her scene is cut off and the credits are all that depict her. In 2002, Bell appeared on the Broadway production of The Crucible with Liam Neeson and Angela Bettis.
