Alanis Morissette

Alanis Nadine's mother was born in Ottawa, Canada, on the 1st of June 1974. Alanis' Greek is a male version of the surname her father's name. There are two brothers: Chad (Alanis twin) as well as Wade. She was able to play the piano in her early years, aged six and began playing guitar at age 21. Alanis released a single in the year 1986 titled Fate Stay With Me (b-side : Find The Right Man). The singer recorded two albums while a dance-pop singer throughout Canada: Alanis (1991) and Now Is The Time (1992). She relocated to Toronto at the age of 18 and began working with music and writers, but these collaborations did not work. Then, in 1994, she came across the perfect collaborator: music producer and songwriter Glen Ballard, who had been working with numerous performers, including Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson and Barbra Streisand. When she moved to LA her age was 19 years old. Madonna's Maverick Records released the song "Jagged Little Pill" in June 13th in 1995. Alanis' songs are autobiographical. JLP sold around 30 million copies worldwide which makes it the top-selling female-oriented album ever. It is also the third-most popular album ever. JLP was released following an emotional crisis (she considered not recording an album) as well as some time off to travel. Alanis Alanis Alanis
